  • Listing Data: Property details, photos, pricing, and location information you provide when creating a listing.
  • Messages: Content of messages exchanged between users on the platform.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions with the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Pass My Lease platform.
  • Verify student status through .edu email confirmation.
  • Facilitate communication between listing hosts and prospective tenants.
  • Send transactional emails (verification, message notifications).
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and protect user safety.
  • Display listing locations on maps via Google Maps.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data:

  • Clerk — Authentication and user management.
  • Google Maps — Location display and address autocomplete.
  • Google Cloud Storage — Secure storage of listing images.
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery.
  • Firebase — Application hosting.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Listing images are stored in Google Cloud Storage. User authentication data is managed by Clerk. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

  • Update your profile information at any time through your account settings.
  • Delete your account and all associated data. You can do this from your profile page, and all your listings, messages, and personal information will be permanently removed.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

Pass My Lease is intended for college and university students aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
